[Jan]Just wanted to let you know that I made it home ok and after this story you'll see why.
I woke up to another beautiful desert morning in Eloy. The dogs ran around for an hour or so. I packed up all the Omniskore stuff into the back of my truck. It was topped off and could not hold anything else. My dogs rode up front with me. Just outside Palm Springs I made a stop because I was not sure about the fire situation around Hemet. As I got back on the road, I heard a click click noise. Sort of like tap shoes. I got off at the next exit and discovered I had a nail in the back left tire. Ok it was not flat, so I continued on. I made it home just fine. Then I took a closer look at the tires. ALL of them had nails in them. I said I better get this fixed today, else tommorrow I'll have 4 flat tires. So I went over to the tire store and the bad news was that all 4 tires were history. I must have driven thru a nail farm. When I picked up the truck, the guy said one tire had 21 nails in it. I guess the good news is that I made it home and then to the tire place ok. The bad news is the $$, but he did give me a 50th birthday special discount. ;)
